John Riggins has extensive experience in the field of construction engineering. John began their career in 2001 as a Construction Engineer at the Kansas Department of Transportation, where they supervised a team of technicians and EITs in construction inspection of state roads. During their time there, they also served as the District 3 representative on the KDOT/KCA Partnering Committee.
In 2010, John joined Kirkham Michael as a Construction Engineer. In this role, they coordinated construction inspection of various projects including roads, bridges, landfills, and airports. Additionally, they supervised a team of technicians and was responsible for generating opinions of probable costs, proposals/contracts, change orders, and pay estimates. John was later promoted to Vice President in 2015 at Kirkham Michael.

John Riggins graduated with a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Civil Engineering from South Dakota State University in 2001. Prior to that, they attended Chadron State College from 1995 to 1996 for Pre-Engineering.
