Derek Hung

Derek Hung is an experienced finance and accounting professional with a background in cost management and analysis, currently serving as a Cost Accountant at Kirkhill, Inc. since July 2025. Previously, Derek worked as an Associate Program Cost and Schedule Control Analyst at Northrop Grumman from January 2024 to July 2025, where responsibilities included providing cost planning and earned value support for the F-35 program, financial analysis of SAP S/4HANA data, and streamlining Excel-based tools with Power BI. Prior to this role, Derek gained experience as a Business Management Intern at Northrop Grumman and as a Summer Intern at Boeing, where contributions included modifying wire harness diagrams and developing tracking systems. Derek holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles, and is pursuing a Master of Science in Management at Gies College of Business, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
