VP, Culinary at Kitchen United

Robert Mitchell is the current Vice President of Culinary at Kitchen United. Robert has over twenty years of experience in the foodservice industry, and has held previous positions at Mile 91 LLC and Lemonade Restaurant Group.

At Kitchen United, Mitchell is responsible for leading the culinary development for the organization. This includes coaching the operations teams, directors and vendor partners to ensure effective operations. Robert also oversees the seasonal rollout project calendar, guiding the marketing framework and initiatives, operational SOPs and training needs, catering events, and third-party platforms.

Under Mitchell's leadership, the organization has seen EBITDA increases year-over-year since 2018. Additionally, they have successfully managed the budget for the USDA food production facility in Los Angeles and 5,000 sq. ft. facility in San Francisco. In 2019 and 2020, the facilities received audit scores of 97.50% and 98.04%, respectively.

Most recently, Mitchell was the primary project lead for the Lemonade Restaurant Group during their transition to Modern Market Concepts LLC. During this time, they successfully managed the menu enhancements by 500 bps through cost control, waste tracking, policy improvements, and integrating operational checkpoints and efficiencies.

Robert Mitchell has a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University at Buffalo in Strategic Management and Information Systems. Robert also has an Associate of Science in Culinary Arts from the Culinary Institute of America.

Robert Mitchell reports to Michael Montagano, Chief Executive Officer. They work with Luis Parra - VP, Finance & Accounting, Corey Manicone - SVP, Strategy, and Massimo Noja De Marco - Chief Concept Officer.
