John Roche

Product Designer at Kitman Labs

John Roche has a diverse work experience in the field of design, with a focus on product design and user experience.

John most recently worked at Kitman Labs as a Product Designer, starting in July 2022. Prior to that, they founded Warren User Research in October 2021, where they held the role of Founder.

Before that, John worked as the Founder/Producer of Yarn | A Story Podcast since January 2017. John also worked as a UX Design/Research contractor for IBM from March 2022 to June 2022.

John's experience also includes working as a Lead UX Designer at Amazon from October 2017 to February 2022, where they were responsible for resolving AWS network issues and restoring service during outages. John was the Lead Product Designer at WorldRemit from November 2016 to October 2017 and developed an interest in fin-tech during their time there.

Earlier in their career, John worked as a Lead UX Designer and Senior UX Designer at Digitas UK from June 2014 to November 2016, where they worked on projects for Mumsnet, Honda Europe, and The National Trust.

John started their career as a Graphic Designer at Sparks | A brand and design agency and discovered their passion for digital product design. John then joined Penguin Books Ltd as a UI/UX Designer, where they designed digital products for Rough Guides and DK, including the DK Trip Planner website and app.

John's design journey began at Sparks in 2009, where they worked on branding, print, and digital projects.

John Roche attended the Dún Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology from 2004 to 2008. During this time, they pursued a degree in Visual Communications with a specialization in Graphic Design.
