Greg Sweeney

Greg Sweeney started their work experience as a Network Administrator Intern at Amelex, Inc. in March 2012. Greg then became an IT Analyst at the same company in May 2013. In November 2013, Greg joined AMEWAS, Inc. as a Software Engineer Team Lead and held this role until September 2015. Greg then moved to Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) and served as a Software Engineer Team Lead from September 2015 to April 2018. Afterwards, Greg worked as an Artificial Intelligence Software Engineer at NAVAIR from April 2018 to November 2018. In November 2018, they joined Kinetic Vision as a Principal Machine Learning Engineer and worked there until September 2021. From September 2021 to October 2022, Greg was the Lead Machine Learning Engineer at Pieces.app. Currently, they are employed at KittyCAD as the Lead AI/ML Software Engineer since March 2023.

Greg Sweeney obtained a Master of Engineering - MEng degree in Modeling, Virtual Environments and Simulation from Old Dominion University. Greg attended the university from 2016 to 2018. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts - BA degree in Computer Science from St. Mary's College of Maryland, where they studied from 2009 to 2013. In addition to their formal education, Greg Sweeney has obtained several certifications, including "DevOps Foundations," "Learning Python with PyCharm," "Agile Development Practices," and "Learning MATLAB." These certifications were obtained from LinkedIn in 2018.
