Melissa Hui

Melissa Hui has a diverse work experience. Melissa started their professional journey as a Private Tutor at Diamond Bar High School from September 2014 to November 2014. In September 2016, they began working as a Barista at Tapioca Express until December 2018. In September 2017, they became a Software Engineer at AlchemyX Start-Ups, where they worked until June 2018. During this time, they worked specifically on Cleane.io, an on-demand cleaning service. From June 2018 to February 2019, Melissa was an Informatics Intern at California Institute for Biomedical Research (Calibr), where they utilized their front-end programming skills to assist the Calibr Informatics Team and research scientists by creating and refining websites. This role allowed their to gain proficiency in a range of programming languages, including HTML/CSS, PHP, Javascript, jQuery, and SQL. Most recently, Melissa joined Kitu Systems, Inc. in February 2019 as a Software Engineer.

Melissa Hui received their Bachelor's of Science in Cognitive Science with a focus on Machine Learning/Neural Computation from UC San Diego. In addition, they obtained certifications in Javascript, Numerical Reasoning, and Python from TestDome in July 2018.
