Bob Engler

Bob Engler has extensive experience in public service and leadership roles, currently serving as Mayor and City Councilmember of the City of Thousand Oaks since 2018, with prior roles including Mayor Pro Tem. Engler has been an active member of Kiwanis International since 2007, where leadership positions include Lt. Governor and President. From 2015 to 2018, Engler was President and Board Member of MANNA Conejo Valley Food Bank, and also contributed as Director, External Relations Lead, and Disaster Action Team Liaison Coordinator at the American Red Cross Southern California Region during the same period. Additionally, Engler served on the Conejo Open Space Trails Advisory Committee from 2012 to 2015. Earlier in a distinguished firefighting career, Engler held various positions at the Redondo Beach Fire Department from 1980 to 2005, including Chief, and was a Firefighter Paramedic with the Los Angeles County Fire Department from 1977 to 1980. Engler began the career as a Paramedic at Schaefer and McCormick's Ambulance Companies from 1975 to 1977. Education was pursued at Loyola Marymount University.
