Carsten Bether

Co-Founder and Board Member at Kiwigrid

Carsten Bether started their career in 1999 as a Technical Consultant at Intershop Communications. From 2002 to 2005, they worked at T-Systems Multimedia Solutions GmbH, first as an Innovation Developer and then as a Software Architect. In 2008, Carsten co-founded Kiwigrid GmbH and held the role of Co-Founder and Board Member. At the same time, they also joined T-Systems Multimedia Solutions GmbH as an Innovation Manager. In 2018, Carsten co-founded two companies: Ingenieurbüro für Software, Obst und Energie, where they served as Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer, and evan GmbH, where they were a Co-Founder. Carsten remained at evan GmbH until January 2019.

Carsten Bether's education history is as follows:

From 1993 to 1999, Carsten Bether attended Technische Universität Dresden where they earned a degree in Dipl.-Wing.

In 2000 to 2001, Carsten Bether pursued further education at Microsoft Educational Services, specializing in IT Administration, and obtained a Microsoft Systems Engineer (MCSE) degree.

In the year 2002, Carsten Bether enrolled in Sun Educational Services to continue their studies in IT Programming and IT Architecture. Carsten successfully completed the Certified Java Programmer program.

Carsten Bether further enhanced their education in IT Architecture in 2002 by obtaining the Certified Enterprise Architect program from Sun Educational Services.

In 2003, Carsten Bether pursued further education in IT Programming through Microsoft Educational Services, specializing in .NET Development, and obtained the .NET Developer degree.

Continuing their desire for advanced education, Carsten Bether attended IBM Educational Services in 2004 to study IT Architecture and earn the Websphere Architect certificate.

Lastly, from 2003 to 2007, Carsten Bether attended Technische Universität Berlin and Technische Universität Dresden, as well as Stanford University, where they obtained a doctoral degree (Dr.-Ing.) in an undisclosed field of study.
