Charles Murray has worked in various roles within the Suncorp Group since 2011. From 2011 to 2013, they were an Operations Engineer and Software Engineer, where they worked on Guidewire ClaimsCenter and built addons to applications, customised applications and provided support for applications such as Confluence, Jira, Splunk, Jenkins, and Subversion. In 2013, they became a BT Officer, promoting better practices through behavioural change and building reporting around Jira. In 2015, they joined the DCI DevOps team, taking on an application that had been part of Suncorp for about a year and taking the processes around it to the next level of automation. Charles also worked as an Ignite DevOps Engineer, building a continuous deployment system in bash and wlst/python for the Oracle Banking Platform. In 2016, they joined KIXEYE as a Kixeye DevOps Engineer, where they upgraded an Elasticsearch Cluster from 1.7 to 5.1 and upgraded Puppet from 3. Finally, they were the Automation Team Lead, managing the automation team and helping get the team to a stage where the workload for the DBAs became far more manageable.

Charles Murray attended Kedron State High School from 2006 to 2008, where they obtained their High School Diploma. Charles then went on to The University of Queensland, where they obtained their Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Computer Software Engineering from 2009 to 2013.
