Jan Baumgart

Jan Baumgart currently serves as Managing Director and Head of Real Estate Germany at KKR & Co. Inc. since August 2019, while also holding the position of Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Velero Immobilien GmbH since May 2021. Previously, Jan Baumgart was Managing Director at PATRIZIA Alternative Investments GmbH from August 2011 to July 2019, overseeing significant investments including the exit from Süddeutsche Wohnen. Additionally, Jan Baumgart was a Member of the Supervisory Board at Süddeutsche Wohnen Group from May 2012 to July 2015 and worked as an Associate at AlixPartners and as an Analyst at Fortress Investment Group. Educational credentials include a degree in Economics and Mechanical Engineering from Leibniz Universität Hannover, as well as studies at ETH Zürich and California State Polytechnic University-Pomona.
