Joseph Sands

Joseph Sands has a diverse work experience in information security and technology. Joseph is currently working as a Principal Information Security Engineer at KLDiscovery since 2022. Previously, they worked at Security Ideals as a Senior IT Security Consultant from 2020 to 2022. Before that, they were associated with MBMS, LLC where they served as a HIPAA Security Officer and later as the Vice President Information Security from 2016 to 2019. Joseph also worked at LDiscovery LLC as the Vice President Information Technology, Director of Information Security | Information Security Officer, Director of Information Technology | Information Security Officer, and System Administrator from 2006 to 2016. Additionally, they have experience as an IT Consultant at Excel Micro from 2004 to 2006. Joseph started their career in the US Army and served from 1993 to 2001.

Joseph Sands attended The Chubb Institute from 2003 to 2004, where they studied Network Security and Administration. In addition to their education, they obtained several certifications including CCNA and CCNA +Security from Cisco in 2008 and 2011 respectively. Joseph also obtained certifications in CISSP from (ISC)² in 2014 and CISM from ISACA in 2017.
