John Whelan

John Whelan is an experienced Intellectual Property Counsel currently working at Klein Tools since February 2021. Prior to this role, John served as an Associate Patent Attorney at Banner Witcoff from June 2019 to January 2021 and at Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren s.c. from September 2016 to September 2017. John holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from the University of Iowa College of Law, earned between 2013 and 2016, as well as a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology, obtained in 2019. Additionally, John completed a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering at the University of Iowa from 2008 to 2012.
