Juergen W.

Juergen W. has extensive work experience in the refining industry. Juergen currently holds the position of Managing Director Refining at Klesch Group since December 2022. Prior to this, they served as a Member of the Board of Directors at Kalundborg Refinery and as an Advisory Board Member at World Refining Association and Aspen Technology, starting in January 2022. From 2017 to 2022, Juergen was the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director at Raffinerie Heide GmbH, where they successfully led the transformation towards a sustainable green refinery and initiated various projects related to synthetic aviation fuel and green hydrogen. Juergen also served as a Board Member at en2x - Wirtschaftsverband Fuels und Energie e.V. from 2017 to 2021. Before joining Raffinerie Heide GmbH, Juergen had roles at McKinsey & Company, OMV Petrom, OMV, and BP, where they held various financial and leadership positions. Overall, Juergen W. has a strong background in refining, finance, and advisory roles in the energy industry.

Juergen W. pursued a diploma in Education from FT Board Director Programme, specializing in Non-Executive Director Diploma. Juergen also completed a program in Executive Presence and Influence from INSEAD, focusing on Business Administration and Management.
