CEO & Co-Founder at Klima

Markus Gilles has worked in a variety of roles since 2008. Markus began as a Student Assistant at the German Parliament in 2008. Markus then moved on to become a Project Leader at the Abgeordnetenhaus von Berlin (Berlin State Assembly) in 2009. In 2010, they took on the role of Head of Communications at the Fair Trade Forum (Forum Fairer Handel). In 2012, they became the CEO & Co-Founder of Pinio, a video-based discussion platform. In 2014, they took on the role of CEO & Co-Founder of Hyper, a video magazine for iPhone, iPad and Apple TV. In 2016, they became the CEO Hyper @ Mic.com, creating high quality video and news content for the mobile first generation. In 2018, they became the CEO & Co-Founder of Mighty - Self defense fitness, the first mobile self-defense fitness format. Finally, in 2019, they became the CEO & Co-Founder of Klima.

Markus Gilles studied at Freie Universität Berlin from an unknown start year until 2008, where they earned a Diplom in Sociology, Political Science, and Cultural Studies. In 2007 and 2008 they attended Université Paris-Sorbonne, studying Sociology. From 2005 to 2006 they studied Sociology at the University of Toronto.
