Lauren Brown

Lauren Brown has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Lauren is currently working as the Head of Carbon Removal at Klimate.co since February 2023. Prior to that, they worked at EDF Energy as a Sustainability Specialist from January 2020 to February 2023. Lauren also held a role as a Sustainable Development Specialist at RSSB, where they led the development and promotion of the RSSB Rail Carbon Tool and conducted research on traction decarbonisation options and social impacts from rail. Before that, Lauren worked as a Junior Sustainability Advisor at Carillion, where they reported on environmental KPI performance and provided sustainability expertise. In addition, they have experience working as a Parliamentary Questions Coordinator at the Department for Education and as an EU Bid Writing Intern at Third Sector International. Lauren started their career as an Environmental Safety Group Intern at EDF Energy.

Lauren Brown completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc Hons) degree in Conservation Biology from Lancaster University, where they attended from 2011 to 2014. Lauren then pursued a Master's degree in Energy and the Environment from the same university, graduating in 2016. Additionally, they obtained several certifications during their career, including BREEAM Infrastructure (CEEQUAL) Assessor from BRE in November 2022, Chartered Environmentalist from IEMA in August 2022, and CSCS Professionally Qualified Person from the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) in May 2020.
