Michael Siminovitch

Michael Siminovitch is a Professor Emeritus of Design and the Arthur H. Rosenfeld Endowed Chair at the University of California, Davis, where they also serve as the Faculty Director of the California Lighting Technology Center. Their extensive experience includes co-founding lighting research centers in Mexico and Thailand, highlighting their commitment to sustainable lighting practices. A former Staff Scientist at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, Michael led pioneering research on energy-efficient lighting and contributed to the development of significant projects in the field. Michael holds multiple degrees, including a Doctorate in architecture/engineering from the University of Michigan and a Master of Architecture from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
