Bas Bakker

Bas Bakker is an accomplished financial risk management professional with extensive experience across various roles and institutions. Currently serving as the Head of Financial Risk Management at Knab since September 2022, Bas oversees Credit and Market Risk while leading the establishment of a new Financial Risk Management department. Prior to this, Bas was the Chief Risk Officer at New10, responsible for integrated risk management and portfolio growth. With a long tenure at ABN AMRO Bank N.V., Bas held multiple leadership positions, including Head of Credit Risk for Retail, Private Banking, and SME Banking, managing substantial portfolios and focusing on risk automation and innovation. Bas holds a Drs. degree in Economics from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and has pursued additional certifications in finance and insolvency law, further enhancing expertise in financial risk management.
