KNIGHT Scientific is all about research and innovation – and we're fast becoming the darling of the sports world due to our unique tests that can help prevent Overtraining Syndrome and detect infections up to 48 hours before any symptoms show. But that's just a part of our offerings that span the worlds of cosmetics, health, food, pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, animal welfare, and workplace sickness management.

Research scientists all over the world use our Cell Activation and Antioxidant Test Kits - all based on ABEL (Analysis By Emitted Light) technology and containing the light-emitting protein Pholasin, an ultra-sensitive chemiluminescent detector of free radicals and other reactive oxygen-containing species (ROS).

Our assays, unique to Knight Scientific, can run on microplate readers with up to 384 wells including the Hamamatsu FDSS/μCELL - and the sensitivity of Pholasin means our assays can extend the capabilities of even such a high-end piece of lab equipment.

We offer a vast range of assays and can also create bespoke versions for you if needed - and some of them can run on our portable luminometer, the ABEL-Meter.

Household-name football teams and elite sports organisations around the world are seriously interested in the ABEL-Meter for our overtraining test - as are Premiership football teams here in the UK - but commercial confidentiality forbids us to name them.
