Tim Murphy has a long and varied career in software development and technology. Tim began their career in 1989 as a Senior Software Developer at IBM, where they architected and designed the vendor specific accelerated graphics interface for IBM's Visualization Data Explorer (DX) scientific visualization product. In 1995, they moved to Nomura Securities as Vice President of IT, Whole Loan Securitization, where they created models to produce risk assessments, market position sensitivity, daily marking and pricing for non-performing, whole loan, CMBS, CMO, and ABS securities as well as hedge inventories. Tim then moved to Mobius in 2001 as Director of Applications Systems Development, where they directed development and provided architectural guidance of four out of eight of the products offered by Mobius. In 2007, they joined Markit as Director, where they addressed the company's global strategy to provide a complete solution suite for CDS and Commercial Loans derivatives space. Finally, in 2011, they became the Chief Technology Officer at Knoa Software, where they developed an experience management solution to maximize user effectiveness with mission critical software systems.

Tim Murphy completed their Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1985. Tim then went on to earn their Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts Lowell in 1998.
