Chris Field

Chris Field has over 18 years of experience in software engineering and development. Chris began their career in 2002 as a Software Developer at Affinity Solutions, where they were the technical lead on a team of five developers and also held the role of sysadmin. In 2005, they joined MTM Technologies as a Senior Software Developer, where they supported the monitoring of 200k services and 500k interfaces across 30k devices in 300+ physical locations. In 2008, they joined VaultIt Inc. as a Software Engineer. In 2014, they co-founded and became an advisor for Knocking, where they were responsible for the full product life cycle including idea, architecture, build, and deployment of the first two products. In 2007, they joined New York Life Insurance Company as a Tech Lead, where they were responsible for leading a team of three full stack engineers developing and supporting the proprietary corporate lead management system. In 2016, they were promoted to Engineering Manager, where they were responsible for leading a team of one full stack engineer and two backend engineers designing and building integrations for New York Life's new core CRM platform. Chris was then promoted to Sr Engineering Manager in the same company, where they were responsible for leading an organization of thirty-two engineers organized in four delivery teams building new digital experiences and tools for New York Life's Agents and Clients.

Chris Field attended the University of Maryland from 1995 to 2001, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Sociology.
