Charl Lamprecht

Charl Lamprecht began their work experience in 2006 as a Systems Analyst and Software Developer at Fourier Approach, where they focused on software development, support, and database design. In 2011, they joined BBD as a Software Developer and Team Lead, responsible for designing and developing software systems and databases and enforcing technical architecture and principles. Charl then moved on to Fourier Approach again in 2013, this time as a Systems Innovation Manager, leading the innovation development team and engaging customers. In 2015, Charl became an Innovation Manager at Fourier IT Innovation, where they designed and developed innovative solutions and led the innovation development team. In 2016, they joined Derivco as a Senior Developer, working on real-time event processing, service development, and various forms of SQL. Finally, in 2022, Charl joined KnowBe4 as a Senior Software Engineer, and in 2023, they were promoted to Principal Software Engineer.

Charl Lamprecht obtained a BSc[IT] degree in Information and Knowledge Systems from the University of Pretoria between 2005 and 2009. In 2010, they earned a MCTS certification in SQL Server 2008 - Database Developer from Microsoft Learning. Charl also holds various additional certifications including AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in 2023, and Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals from Microsoft in 2022. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in advanced design patterns, behavior-driven development, artificial intelligence foundations, and several others from various institutions such as LinkedIn and Confluent.
