Mark Patton

Mark Patton has an extensive work experience in the technology industry. Mark is currently serving as the Executive Vice President of Engineering at KnowBe4 since September 2019. Prior to this, they worked at Malwarebytes as the Senior Vice President of Engineering from January 2014 to August 2019. Mark also had a brief stint at Microsoft as the Principal Program Manager - Windows Phone from September 2013 to December 2013. Before that, Mark held the position of Global Vice President of Research and Development at GFI Software from June 2010 to January 2013. Mark was also the VP of Research and Development at Sunbelt Software from January 2005 to June 2010, where they played a significant role in the company's growth before it was acquired by GFI Software. Mark has a strong background in software development as well, having worked at Fortis Software, Microsoft Corporation, Jetstream Software, Diskeeper Corporation, and AT&T Wireless in various software development roles.

Mark Patton holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering (MSME) from Michigan Technological University, which they obtained from 1981 to 1983. Prior to that, they earned their Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) from the same institution, completing their studies from 1977 to 1981. Mark also holds a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification from the Six Sigma Global Institute, obtained in 2022.
