Cheryl Shavers

Dr. Cheryl L. Shavers is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Global Smarts, Inc., a position they have held since 2001. They currently serve as an Independent Board Member at Voyager Space, Knowles Corporation, and ITT Inc. In a notable role from 1999 to 2001, Dr. Shavers was the Undersecretary of Commerce for Technology at the US Department of Commerce, overseeing key technology initiatives. They earned their Ph.D. in Solid State Chemistry and hold an honorary Master’s of Science in Engineering/Industrial Management from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
