Birgit van Buiten

Birgit van Buiten is a senior lifeguard at KNRM since July 2022, where responsibilities include managing social media to inform about lifeguarding roles and recruit new applicants. Additionally, Birgit serves as a beach lifeguard and works as a student assistant in the Alumni Relations & University Fund team at Delft University of Technology, supporting communication efforts. Previously, Birgit was the secretary of the board at DSZ WAVE, overseeing internal and external communications for an organization with over 300 members. Early career experience includes leadership and cashier roles at Jumbo Supermarkten. Birgit is pursuing dual Bachelor's degrees in Nanobiology at Delft University of Technology and Erasmus University Rotterdam, with education from Etty Hillesum Lyceum.
