Meta Römers

Meta Römers studied Information Management in Maastricht from 1988 to 1992. After her studies she worked for 20 years within the Randstad Nederland Group. The first years as an intermediary and manager, before starting in 2004 as general manager of Randstad HR Solutions. After a number of years, she switched to the role of commercial director at randstad in-house services. After 5 years, she was asked to lead the reorganization of the care company within Randstad, and subsequently become general director of the employment agency.

On January 1, 2016, she made the switch to the KNVB, where she is now operational director. In this role she is responsible for the organization of amateur and women's football, the finances of amateur football, the legal department with disciplinary and licensing matters, HR, ICT and a number of KNVB ventures.

Meta lives with her husband and two sons in Haaften, Gelderland. In her spare time she likes to make special trips. She also likes to read and do odd jobs around her house.

Both her sons play football, which means that she has been involved with the local football club in Haaften for more than 8 years. She has coached the team of her youngest son for 7 years, has been on the youth board and made youth divisions.
