Kierra Sam

Kierra Sam is an experienced Anchor and Reporter at KOAA5, with a background in public relations, journalism, and media production. Kierra's prior role as a Public Relations Assistant at SASPR involved posting event information to over 30 websites, editing press releases, and adhering to AP style guidelines. While studying at the University of Houston, Kierra hosted multiple shows, including "In The Game" and "Everything Red, White and Coog," and served as a Resident Advisor to foster community among fellow students. Additional experiences include working as a Programming Assistant at Girls Inc. of Greater Houston, interning at KPRC, and holding roles at Calash and KBMT/K-JAC 12News, as well as serving as a Morning News Anchor/Reporter at KPAX Missoula/Kalispell. Kierra holds a Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Houston, graduating cum laude.
