Mike Kirkpatrick

Mike Kirkpatrick is an experienced professional in the fields of data science and artificial intelligence, currently serving as the Director of AI/ML at Koantek since November 2025. Prior to this role, Mike held various key positions at Hitachi Solutions America, including Director of Data and AI, where leadership of a team exceeding 20 data scientists and software engineers was a primary focus, as well as roles as Principal Data Scientist and Senior Data Scientist, contributing to significant project deliveries. At National University, Mike served as an Adjunct Professor in Data Science, teaching multiple courses while also managing the institution's data analytics environment. Additional experience includes program evaluation at UCSD Health Services Research Center and a foundation in diverse operational roles at Marie Callender's. Mike holds a Master of Science in Data Analytics from National University and another Master of Science in Applied Psychology with a focus on Program Evaluation from San Diego State University, complemented by a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the same institution.
