Can Erkey is a co-founder and Chief Technology Officer at Iongenics Electrochemical Technologies, a company specializing in the development and manufacturing of electrolyzers for green hydrogen production since October 2020. In addition to this role, Can Erkey has served as a professor at Koç University since September 2006 and was the founding director of the Koç University Tüpraş Energy Center from September 2012 to September 2019. Prior experience includes a professorship at the University of Connecticut from 1995 to 2006. Can Erkey holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University, earned from 1986 to 1989, and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Boğaziçi University, obtained from 1980 to 1984.
