John Ruffolo is the Founder and Managing Partner of Maverix Private Equity, where they are dedicated to funding and partnering with innovative entrepreneurs. Previously, they founded OMERS Ventures and served as Executive Managing Director at OMERS Platform Investments from 2011 to 2018. As a Co-Founder and Vice Chair of the Council of Canadian Innovators, John actively supports the growth of Canadian technology firms. They also hold board positions at multiple organizations, including Ether Capital, Viral Nation, and NervGen Pharma Corp. John graduated with a BBA in Accounting from the Schulich School of Business at York University in 1988.
