Rafay Ali

Rafay Ali began their career in 2012 as a Java Developer at Workstream Automation Ltd., where they were responsible for maintaining and adding new features to the company's products. Rafay also trained and mentored newly joined team members about MVC architecture and technical internal working of the product. In 2014, they moved to KoderLabs, where they served as a Lead Software Engineer and Project Manager for MomentPin. As a Lead Engineer, their main responsibility was to architect and maintain Android version of MomentPin and technically mentor and guide the mobile team for both Android and iOS. Rafay also worked as a Project Manager, taking requirements from the client, maintaining JIRA board for stories derived from requirements and managing release schedules for projects. As a Senior Software Engineer, Rafay worked on different technologies stack, including frontend technologies such as Android Native and Unity 3D, and briefly worked on backend with Structs and Hibernate depending on workforce requirements on the project. Rafay also worked solo and led projects on Unity 3D, including an Augmented Reality project developed using Vuforia SDK.

Rafay Ali completed a Bachelor of Computer Science (BSCS) degree from Karachi University between 2008 and 2011, focusing on Computer Science. Prior to this, they attended Chiniot Islamia College between 2005 and 2007, studying Pre Engineering. Rafay also attended Waves Grammar School between 2000 and 2004, studying Computer Science.
