Philip Dodds

Philip Dodds has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Philip is currently the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Kodexa, a company they helped establish in 2020. Prior to this, in 2008, they became the Managing Partner of Compound42.

In 2015, Dodds took on the role of CIO/CTO at Pendo Systems, where they led the design and development of a platform for processing unstructured data. Philip successfully built a small development team that utilized state-of-the-art technology and design choices to support a wide range of use cases.

From 2012 to 2013, Dodds was a Co-Founder and Platform Architect at DatasetIO. During this time, they developed metadata-based frameworks leveraging Hadoop and graph databases, enabling analysis of large data-intensive environments and discovery of data structures.

Dodds served as an Advisor to eMOBUS "Smart Mobility Management" from 2009 to 2012. In 2010, they became the Chief Technology Officer at Netik, where they provided direction for future SaaS products and played a key role in hosted data management solutions.

Dodds' involvement with open-source software includes their role as a Committer for the Apache Software Foundation from 2005 to 2010. Philip also served as the Chief Technology Officer at Exist Software Labs, Inc. from 2006 to 2008, leading a global development team and overseeing the Maestro project.

Prior to that, Dodds was the Chief Architect and Co-Founder of Unity Systems from 2003 to 2006. Here, they designed and implemented an SOA data platform for financial services companies, achieving profitability within the first year.

Dodds' earlier experience includes their role as VP Technology and Architecture at GoldenSource from 2001 to 2003. Philip provided architectural guidance for large-scale trading and reference data platforms and led the transition to a Service-Oriented Architecture.

Throughout their career, Dodds has demonstrated their expertise in technology leadership, platform design, and data management.
