Tom Wolfe

Tom Wolfe has worked in a variety of legal roles since 1999. Tom began their career as a Technical Advisor at Jones Day, followed by a Law Clerk position at Benesch Friedlander Coplan & Aronoff. Tom then worked as an Associate at McDermott Will & Emery and Sirote & Permutt, P.C. In 2006, they became a Patent Attorney at Smith & Nephew. From 2010 to 2022, they were a Senior IP Transactions Counsel and Senior IP Counsel at Medtronic, where they were responsible for complex transactions and counseling related to Intellectual Property. Tom is currently the Director of Legal, IP and Product at Kodiak Robotics.

Tom Wolfe received their BSME in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Alabama between 1993 and 1997. Afterwards, they pursued a MS in Biomedical Engineering at Case Western Reserve University, which they completed in 2002. Tom then attended Cleveland State University - Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, where they obtained their JD in 2003. Prior to this, they attended Indian Springs School from 1989 to 1993.
