Michael Gerstein

Michael Gerstein is an experienced data science leader with a robust background in various industries. As the Director and Head of Data Science at Kohl's from June 2022 to January 2024, Michael led a team of 25 professionals focused on critical initiatives like pricing optimization and customer relevancy. Prior to Kohl's, Michael served as Senior Manager of Data Science at Transfix, where responsibilities included setting the strategic roadmap for algorithmic decision-making in logistics. Michael's earlier roles include Senior Data Scientist at CLEAR, where machine learning was applied to enhance security, and Data Scientist at CBS Interactive, providing analytics for a shared services organization. Michael co-founded GO Capital LLC, focusing on quantitative strategies, and holds an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management and a BA in Mathematics from the University of Pennsylvania.
