Michael J. Bender

Michael J. Bender is the CEO of Kohl’s, where they are responsible for the company's growth, profitability, and strategic direction, overseeing over 1,100 stores and 100,000 associates nationwide. With more than 30 years of senior leadership experience in major retail and consumer brands, Bender previously served as President and CEO of Eyemart Express from 2018 to 2022 and held various executive positions at Walmart, including Chief Operating Officer of Global eCommerce. Bender began their career at PepsiCo and has also held senior leadership roles at Cardinal Health and Victoria’s Secret. They hold a BA from Stanford University and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
