David Arana

CEO & Founder at Konfío

David Arana is the CEO and founder of Konfío, a Mexican financial technology company. David was previously a vice president at Deutsche Bank, where they worked in structured products for emerging markets.

Arana has extensive experience in creating tailor-made solutions for clients using cross-product derivatives. David has also led the development and creation of a proprietary alpha-generating rules-based index used as an embedded derivative in corporate liability management.

Arana has structured the distribution of corporate credit risk to private clients and financial institutions throughout Latin America. David has also built rates, foreign exchange, credit, and hybrid models to price and measure risk accurately.

In addition, Arana has prepared legal documents and sought all necessary internal approvals for smooth trade execution. David has also produced marketing material for asset and liability side ideas.

David Arana completed a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. David then went on to complete a graduate degree from Escola Graduada de São Paulo.
