Rohit Pawar has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple companies and roles.
Rohit is currently employed at Kong Inc. as a Software Engineering Manager - SRE, a position they assumed in September 2022.
Prior to that, they worked at StreamSets Inc. from February 2017 to May 2021 as a DevOps Engineer. In June 2021, they transitioned to the role of an Engineering Manager, focused on Cloud-Services, DevOps, and SRE. Rohit continued in this role until September 2022.
Before joining StreamSets Inc., Rohit worked at Informatica from January 2015 to January 2017 as a Sr. Software Engineer.
From October 2012 to January 2015, they were a Member of Technical Staff at TIBCO Software Inc., where they were part of the TIBCO BusinessWorks (BW) plugin team, working on building plugins for the BW integration platform. Rohit'swork involved integrating Big Data with BW, including tasks such as HDFS file operations, running MapReduce jobs, Pig Scripts, and Hive queries.
Rohit's career began in 2009 at Sphynx Technologies, where they worked as a Trainee Software Engineer Intern. During their time there, they designed an IDE and a compiler to make cell phones programmable for SPHYNX Tech Pvt. Ltd, India.
Rohit also has experience in academia, having served as a Computer Science Graduate Student at Oklahoma City University from August 2010 to June 2012. Rohit also worked as a Mobile Application Developer for Oklahoma City University Mobile Device Developers during the same time, where they developed and tested mobile applications in Android and maintained the Student Intramural Sports website.
Rohit Pawar pursued a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Engineering from Savitribai Phule Pune University between 2006 and 2010. Rohit then went on to complete their Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Oklahoma City University from 2010 to 2012. Before their university education, Rohit attended Bishops School in Pune from 1996 to 2003, where they completed their high school education. Additionally, they acquired the certifications of "CKA: Certified Kubernetes Administrator" from The Linux Foundation in April 2021, and "AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate" from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in June 2020.
