Ryan Weaver

Ryan Weaver has a diverse work experience in the field of technology and infrastructure support. Ryan started their career as a Desktop Support/Rollout Officer at Employers Mutual Limited, where they oversaw the installation of a new enterprise startup and provided ongoing support to users. Ryan then worked in various contract positions, including at DFEEST, Serco Business Services, PIRSA, and DFC, where they performed desktop and infrastructure support.

Ryan also worked as a Systems Administrator at Employment Options, where they managed IT projects and rollouts, and performed L2+L3 support for staff and clients. Ryan gained experience in server administration, Citrix, SQL, and VPN network management.

At SA Health, Ryan worked as a Desktop/Network Engineer, providing level II support in a large organization. Ryan also worked at City of Charles Sturt as a Technical Engineer, contributing to desktop and infrastructure support in a multi-site organization.

Ryan joined Hewlett Packard Enterprise as an Applications Monitoring Administrator and later served as a Systems Administrator (ATO) and Wintel 24x7 Systems Administrator. Their responsibilities included 3rd level server support, incident management, change implementation, and analysis of high severity incidents.

Prior to their current role, Ryan worked at NEC Australia as a Systems Engineer, specializing in virtualization and server security updates. Ryan acted as the primary escalation contact and successfully implemented numerous emergency changes for customers.

Most recently, Ryan joined Kong Inc. as a Customer Reliability Engineer, where they utilize their expertise to ensure customer satisfaction.

From 2021 to 2022, they attended Charles Sturt University and obtained a Graduate Certificate in Cyber Security.

From 2001 to 2003, they attended Flinders University and earned a Bachelor of International Studies degree, with a focus on Political Science and Government.

Between 1997 and 2000, they attended Willunga High School and obtained a South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE).

From 1995 to 1997, they attended Glenunga International High School.

In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications. In September 2020, they received the Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals certification from Microsoft. In July 2022, they obtained the Kong Gateway Foundations certification, followed by the Kong Gateway Operations certification in August 2022, both from Kong Inc.
