Shantanu B.

Shantanu B. has a diverse work experience that spans over multiple companies and roles. They started their career in 2006 at Infosys | CVS-Aetna as a Software Engineer, responsible for the development and delivery of high-quality code for various online and batch applications. They then transitioned to the role of Senior Software Engineer, where they continued to contribute to the development process.

In 2011, Shantanu B. was promoted to the role of Lead Technical Consultant, where they were tasked with creating development frameworks for SOA-based middleware components for CVS-Aetna. They also mentored and led a team of around 20 individuals in an onsite-offshore model.

In 2012, Shantanu B. joined Discover Financial Services as a Lead Engineer for Middleware Engineering. They successfully fulfilled this role until 2015 when they were promoted to Principal Engineer. In this capacity, they were responsible for designing and building the first on-prem API infrastructure for B2B ground-up, focusing on API gateways, API developer portals, single sign-on, API proxy policy development, DevOps automation, OAuth, OpenID Connect, AppDynamics, Jenkins, Nexus, and GitHub.

Shantanu B. continued to excel at Discover Financial Services and was subsequently promoted to the position of Senior Principal Architect in 2017. In this role, they led API digital transformation initiatives, architected and built modern API infrastructure, and transitioned legacy SOAP services to REST-based APIs and microservices.

Most recently, in 2022, Shantanu B. joined Kong Inc. as a Senior CX/CS Solution Architect, where they currently contribute their expertise.

Shantanu B. studied at Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University from 2001 to 2005, where they earned a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Electrical Engineering.
