Sharon Beeson

Sharon has served as Chief Financial Officer since 2015, having joined Koniag in 2008 as its corporate Tax Director. Sharon hails from Louisiana and began her career in public accounting in Little Rock, Arkansas before moving to Alaska in 1997 where she progressed in her roles at Deloitte & Touche, KPMG and Afognak Native Corporation.

Sharon leads a senior team across Koniag’s operations that is responsible for financial reporting and analysis activities as well as accounting and tax compliance functions. She also works closely with Koniag’s executives and subject matter experts on investment opportunities.

Sharon’s love of the outdoors is what brought her to Alaska. Her interests include hunting, fishing and spending time with her husband Mitch and their two furry, four-legged kids, Finn and AJ.
