Osh .

Founder, CEO & CTO at Koniku

Osh has a long history of working in the technology and research field. From 2002 to 2005, they were a Developer at Neuronics AG, where they programmed custom user scenarios and monitored and visited users across Switzerland. In 2005, they began working at ETH Zürich as a Doctoral Student, where they modelled co-cultures of spinal cord neurons, myofibrils and dorsal root ganglia (sensory) neurons on-chip. That same year, they also began working at Neuronics AG as a Program Lead, where they led the design of data, power and biocompatibility requirements for an implantable peripheral neurochip. From 2011 to 2015, they were a PhD Candidate and Research Assistant at Imperial College London, where they worked on wavefront shaping in multiphoton microscopy and designed, built and used control systems for multiphoton microscopy. Lastly, from 2015 to present, they have been the Founder, CEO and CTO of Koniku, an early-stage company based in San Rafael, CA. Osh is responsible for building cyborgs by merging genetically modified living biological neurons with silicon or electronics, optics, mechatronics and other technologies.

Osh's educational history began in 1996 when they attended Federal College of Fisheries and Marine Technology, where they obtained an OND in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. They then attended University of Lagos from 1997 to 2001, obtaining a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics. From 2002 to 2005, Osh studied at Umeå University, where they earned a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Physics. From 2005 to 2010, they studied at ETH Zürich in the field of Physics. Finally, from 2011 to 2014, Osh attended Imperial College London, studying Computational Neuroscience and Engineering.
