Brandon Shute

Brandon Shute's work experience begins in 2014 as an Actuarial Analyst at Morneau Shepell. In this role, they worked with senior actuaries, completing valuations, reconciliations, and developing programs for more efficient calculations. Brandon also demonstrated strong teamwork skills and the ability to work independently.

In 2015, Brandon worked as a Compliance Intern at Progress Energy Canada Ltd., where they were involved in designing and implementing control frameworks for the Compliance Group. Brandon also worked as a Software Engineer at Singolar, aiding in the design and development of the SmartCX software.

In 2016, Brandon had an internship as a Corporate Finance Intern at J.D. Irving, Limited, where they worked on projects creating dashboards to present data to senior management.

Since 2017, Brandon has been working at Kooltra, starting as a Quantitative Analyst and progressing to the role of Senior Software Engineer. Currently, they hold the position of Lead Software Engineer.

Throughout their work experience, Brandon has demonstrated strong communication skills, time management abilities, and technical expertise in software development and financial analysis.

Brandon Shute completed their Master's Degree in Mathematical Finance at the University of Toronto from 2016 to 2017. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in double major in Mathematics and Business (Co-op) at Acadia University from 2012 to 2016. In 2013, they participated in the Explore Program at Université Laval. In addition to their formal education, Brandon obtained the Canadian Securities Course certification from the Canadian Securities Institute in July 2016.
