A Tokyo and Shanghai-based design studio founded by architects Shinya Kojima and Ayaka Kojima.
We explore architecture’s role in reconnecting people and place in an age of information overload, seeking to revive authentic human relationships and local character through our projects. Starting from humble local identities, we aim to create spaces that foster community and contribute to sustainable, resilient economies.

By questioning homogenized materials and standardized streetscapes, we highlight the beauty of regional craftsmanship, incorporating materials and details that reflect each site’s climate and cultural heritage.

In addition to our architectural practice, we operate “ichijo-toma,” a renovation brand dedicated to designing spaces for a comfortable and beautiful Japanese lifestyle.
