Mike Rumbarger has extensive experience in engineering and management within the automotive industry. At Koops Automation Systems since June 2018, Rumbarger transitioned to a flexible part-time role as Strategic Growth Project Manager after semi-retiring. Previous roles included leadership positions at Adient from 2016 to 2018, where Rumbarger oversaw a team of 103 engineers in Trim Engineering following the company's spinoff from Johnson Controls. Rumbarger's tenure at Johnson Controls (1996-2016) involved supervising multiple engineering departments focused on automotive interiors, while earlier experience at Prince Corporation (1990-1996) included various roles advancing in responsibility related to automotive interior component design and launch. Rumbarger holds a Master’s Degree in Engineering Management from Western Michigan University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Akron.
