Kopaline University is registered under the laws of Zambia with the Higher Education Authority of Zambia (HEA) as a Higher Education Institution (HEI) with registration no. HEA/094 under the Higher Education (Amendment) Act No.4 of 2013 to offer distance, E-Learning, and full-time tertiary education. 

Its mission is to provide quality accessible and affordable education. The University started its operations in Zambia in 2019 and opened its doors to the 1st Students in 2021. The University provides learning through both the traditional brick and mortar class and modern digital learning through its 100% Online Campus using various IT infrastructure.

The University is one of Zambia's fast growing higher Institution of learning.
