Bill Barton is a seasoned audio software engineer with extensive experience in the musical instrument industry. Currently employed at Korg R&D since September 2002, Bill contributes to the digital synthesizer software team, playing a key role in the development of products such as Kronos, GrandStage, and Vox Continental, with a focus on DSP algorithm design, MIDI synchronization, and system usability. Prior to this, Bill worked at VM Labs from September 1998 to March 2002, developing audio decoders for the NUON DVD chipset, and held positions at The 3DO Company and Digital Creations where Bill focused on audio software engineering and Amiga graphics software, respectively. Bill holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, obtained between 1980 and 1985.
