Derek Burgess

Derek Burgess has been working in the IT industry since 1999. Derek started their career at Pearson Education as a Software Engineer. In 2017, they joined The Jonah Group as a Business Analyst and Product Manager. Since 2019, they have been working at Kortext as an IT Project Manager and Business Analyst.

Derek Burgess obtained a Software Development Diploma from the Information Technology Institute in Toronto from 1997 to 1998, where they studied Oracle, Java, and Web Development. Derek then attended McMaster University from 1990 to 1994, where they obtained an Honors B. Comm in Business/Commerce and General. Derek also holds a Scrum Master Certification from the Scrum Alliance, which they obtained in May 2022.
