Julia Garman

Julia Garman has worked in the publishing and insurance industries since 1987. Julia started their career as a District Office Clerk at Britannic Assurance in 1987, and was made redundant in 2000. Julia then joined Ingram Content Group in 2000 as a Publisher Services Team Leader - Coutts, where they managed a team of 8 to find solutions to various order queries and problems. In 2015, Proquest acquired Coutts from Ingram, and Julia's role remained the same. Julia then moved to ProQuest in 2016 as a Book Orders Manager, before joining Kortext in 2017 as a Publisher Services Manager. In this role, Julia was responsible for building and managing commercial relationships with publishers, re-evaluating the quotes process, and ensuring best terms were negotiated.

Julia Garman attended Bridley Moor High School in Redditch from 1979 to 1984. Julia then went on to pursue a HND in Business Studies at the Dorset Institute of Higher Education (now Bournemouth University) from 1984 to 1986. In 2008 and 2009, they completed a Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership at Poole College.
