Simon Wang

Simon Wang has over 15 years of work experience in Quality Assurance. Simon started their career in 2005 as a QA Manager at Sony Mobile Communications, where they analyzed business and function requirements and led SW QA projects to address system performance and delivered technical solutions, QA metrics and testing plans. In 2012, they moved on to China Mobile as a Project Manager, where they were in charge of carrier device acceptance validation focusing on Messaging, Communication, Online streaming, Positioning and Antenna OTA modules. In 2016, they joined CaseWare International Inc. as a Cloud QA Analyst, where they created function test plans, designed and executed Automation and Manual test cases in functional & regression testing for desktop and cloud features. Simon also created and maintained automation test framework and test cases for testing RESTful API services and micro services web applications by using tools such as Postman and Cypress. Simon is currently working as a Senior QA Analyst at Kortext since 2021.

Simon Wang received their Master's degree in Project Management from the Chinese Academy of Sciences between 2007 and 2010. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Engineering - BE in Electronic Engineering from Dalian Maritime University between 1997 and 2001. Simon Wang also holds four certifications from LinkedIn, including API Testing Foundations (July 2020), Learning the JavaScript Language (July 2020), End-to-End JavaScript Testing with Cypress.io (June 2020), and Java Essential Training: Objects and APIs (January 2020).
