Bryan Marcovici

Co-Founder, Managing Director & Partner at Koru

Bryan Marcovici has a diverse work experience, with roles spanning various industries and positions. Beginning in 2015, they founded and served as the CEO of IMAXShift, a tech startup focused on fitness entertainment. Bryan then went on to establish and lead Pumpkin Petcare, a digital pet insurance startup. In 2017, Bryan joined BCG Digital Ventures as a Director/Venture GM, where they led a team to identify and develop innovative businesses. In 2019, they co-founded and became the Managing Director & Partner of Koru, a venture studio funded by Ontario Teacher's Pension Plan. Bryan also served as a Board Member for several companies, including elovee, FYLD, Vayda, Pebble, and most recently, Onyx Transition. In addition, they joined Laivly as a Board Member in 2021. Bryan's work experience demonstrates their expertise in entrepreneurship, leadership, and building and scaling new companies.

Bryan Marcovici has a BA in Economics and Political Science from Williams College, which they obtained between 1999 and 2003. Additionally, they hold an MBA in Health Care Management and Finance from The Wharton School, which they completed between 2009 and 2011.

Ultimately, this is in service of providing the pensions of the teachers of Ontario. Since 2019, Koru has built and launched 9 new ventures across a variety of industries and geographies including child care, field safety, customer service innovation, financial services, e-commerce logistics, elder care and climate tech/energy transition.
