Blake Harvey has worked in a variety of roles in the manufacturing and production industries since 2006. From 2006 to 2011, they worked at Romtec Utilities as a Design Engineer, creating and updating lift station and valve vault templates, producing 3-D geometries for logistical product analysis, and creating electrical layout drawings for electrical panel enclosures. In 2007, they worked at North River Jet Boats as an Automation Engineer, programming a CNC router for jet boat sheet metal components, designing sheet layouts for maximum material usage and machine efficiency, and creating technical layouts for brake diagrams and product assemblies. From 2008 to 2011, they worked at Umpqua Dairy as a Production Worker, with exposure to material safety data sheets (MSDS), performing vehicle inspection and maintenance, and training in company policies derived from Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Finally, from 2011 to present, they have been a Manufacturing Engineer at Korvis Automation, analyzing production methods and materials using statistical analysis, troubleshooting electrical circuits utilizing ladder logic electrical diagrams, and assembling and documenting manufacturing equipment including clean energy, 3-D printers, and genetic analysis.
Blake Harvey attended Umpqua Community College from 2006 to 2008, where they studied Mechanical Engineering. Blake then went on to Oregon State University where they completed a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Mechanical Engineering in 2011.
